Social Compensation
In the Austrian system of social security, social compensation is an important element of state social benefits. Social compensation refers to measures to financially compensate people for damage or loss which they have suffered in connection with state measures or in matters where the state has to bear special responsibility. Social compensation provides for a wide range of benefits for victims and their surviving dependents.
